Meet Our Team

Carrie is a Midwest girl that graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1998 in Kansas City, MO. She practiced as a Registered Nurse in medical/ surgical and CV-ICU nursing for 9 years. Traveling to 6 states and many locations including trauma centers and small community hospitals.

She obtained her nurse anesthesia degree from Mount Marty College in Sioux Falls, SD in 2010 with a Master’s in Science. Her clinical sites involved many Nebraska and Iowa hospitals including all patient populations Pediatrics, OB, Regional Anesthesia and Trauma. She has been fortunate to practice anesthesia in 5 states and on a Haitian mission trip. Her practice of medicine in many locations has continued to foster adaptability and focusing on the patient’s care. 

Growing up in a business minded family, she quickly realized she was destined to run her own business. In 2015, Carrie left the main stream Anesthesia comfort-zone and started her own company. She now has two companies, Leighow Anesthesia & Medical Aesthetics and Capital Anesthesia Consultants. These two companies provide care for 7 surgery centers in the Omaha, Fremont and Lincoln areas. She is a member of the Ophthalmic Anesthesia Society and Anesthesia Business Academy. 

Carrie has four children; Lauren, Audrey, Grant & Nico. She is active in her church and sits on the Spring For The Children live auction committee for the last 9 years. She enjoys golfing, snowboarding, biking, reading and traveling with friends and family.

 Jason is a born and raised in Nebraska, Jason graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Creighton University’s accelerated nursing program in 2002, having changed career paths after obtaining degrees in philosophy and theology. Working in the intensive care unit at what was then Bergan Mercy Medical Center (now Creighton University Medical Center-Bergan Mercy), he developed a passion for caring for high acuity patients and putting his theological theories to a more practical application of caring for those in need.

Inspired by his mother, a circulating nurse in the operating room for over 30 years, he obtained his Masters of Science in Nurse Anesthesia in 2007 from Mt. Marty College in Sioux Falls, SD. Returning to Bergan Mercy for clinical training as well as the University of Nebraska Medical Center, he has enjoyed the opportunity to administer a variety of types of anesthesia in many different settings to an array of unique patients requiring individualized care.

After 12 years of full time work at Bergan Mercy/Creighton University Medical Center, Jason joined the Leighow Anesthesia team in 2019. Lured by the prospect of new experiences and a schedule that would allow him plenty of time to watch his five children grow, he has thoroughly enjoyed developing skills in new areas, including a course in ultrasound guided regional anesthesia, which has allowed him to provide a very pleasurable and pain free peri-operative experience to patients undergoing a wide variety of surgeries.

Jason has been married to Lynnette since 2003 and together they have five children ranging in age from 19 to 9 years of age. When not working, he can be found with his nose in a book, on the golf course, cooking and baking, or camping and hiking.

Suzy Bohlen is an experienced Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) with over 23

years experience. She received her Bachelors of Science in Nursing degree from Nebraska

College of Nursing Omaha, and completed her Masters of Science in Nursing at Mount Marty

College of Anesthesia in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Suzy has worked in a variety of clinical

settings throughout the Omaha and Metro area, including hospitals, and ambulatory surgery

centers.

Throughout her career, Suzy has demonstrated a commitment to providing safe and effective

anesthesia care to patients. She stays up-to-date on the latest research and techniques in

anesthesia and works closely with surgeons and other healthcare professionals to ensure

optimal patient outcomes. Suzy is known for her compassionate approach to care, and is highly

respected by her colleagues and patients alike.

In her spare time, Suzy enjoys running, walking her dogs, and spending time with her family.
